Crushed By A Titan

11 February 2011

I have listened to a lot of contemporary and older metal, and Triptykon’s Eparistera Daimones (2011) is undoubtedly the heaviest.  Not in the sense of dense and grungy sludgery, although it has plenty of that also, but … well … HEAVINESS. It’s a sledgehammer sent back in time from the heat of battle at the apocalypse, my children, still steaming with demon sweat and the blood of fanatics. Let it destroy you with its doom-drenched beauty, and be reborn as a follower in the manically moshing ranks of the allmighty Triptykon.
